A red tile roof cottage near downtown or a newer home up in Talega gets the same thing: a fresh fir carried in, stood up in a sturdy stand and hauled off in January.
San Clemente was planned as a Spanish village from day one, and founder Ole Hanson's rules called for every home and building to have white stucco walls and a red tile roof. About 500 went up in his era, and 203 still stand. Christmas tree delivery in San Clemente spans that whole range, from Hanson era houses around downtown to the hillside neighborhoods of Talega, Forster Ranch and Marblehead.
Here's the routine. When you order your tree online, you choose the variety, Noble or Fraser, plus the height and the delivery date. Six feet runs $465 and eight feet runs $589, the same for either fir. On delivery day a crew of typically two walks it in, fixes it in a sturdy stand on loan from us, makes sure it's straight and tidies the needles. The ornaments are up to you, and in January a crew returns to haul the undecorated tree away and take the stand back.
Neighborhoods
San Clemente Christmas tree delivery, coast to canyon
Downtown
The heart of Ole Hanson's 1925 plan around Avenida Del Mar, where some original Spanish style homes still stand among newer ones.
Talega
A planned community in the hills on the northeast side of town, built starting in 1999 along Avenida Talega and Avenida Pico. Some neighborhoods have gates.
Forster Ranch
Ridgeline neighborhoods east of Interstate 5, built from the 1980s into the early 2000s and named for John Forster, with a trail along the crest.
Marblehead
Mostly gated neighborhoods east of the freeway between Avenida Vista Hermosa and Avenida Pico, developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Sea Summit
The newer neighborhood on the ocean side of the freeway beside the Outlets at San Clemente, where building began in 2015.
Cyprus Shore
A guard gated community down by the beach at the south end of town, with its entry off Avenida Del Presidente.
In a Hanson era house, or any home with exposed beams or a sloped ceiling, measure at the exact spot where the tree will stand rather than at the room's highest point. A beam can hang lower than the ceiling around it. An 8 ft clearance suits the 6 ft tree, and 10 ft suits the 8 ft. Leave about a foot for the stand and your topper.
Courtyards, side gates and garden paths
If your front door opens off a courtyard, or the easy way in is through a side gate, tell us at checkout and leave the gate unlatched before the crew arrives. They carry the tree by hand, so a garden path is fine as long as it's clear. Move potted plants and chairs aside, and keep pets inside while the tree comes through.
Gated streets in the hills and on the coast
Cyprus Shore has a guard gate, Marblehead is mostly gated and some Talega neighborhoods are too. If yours is one of them, list TreeDrop as an expected visitor for delivery day and again for pickup in January. Add the gate's instructions to your checkout notes, plus your neighborhood name if the guard asks for it.
The local season
Santa's Village by the Sea and early December
San Clemente's big downtown night is Santa's Village by the Sea, presented by the city and the Downtown Business Association and usually held on the first Saturday of December. Avenida Del Mar closes to traffic, shops stay open late for Puttin' on the Glitz, and the tree lighting happens at the Community Center, set for 5 pm last year.
If you'd like your own tree glowing by then, pick a delivery date in the week after Thanksgiving, which falls on November 26. That gives you a few evenings to decorate, so the night of the lighting can be spent downtown instead of untangling strands of lights.

January
January pickup, start to finish
Take every light, ornament and hook off before the scheduled January pickup window, and leave the tree in its stand where the crew can reach it. In a gated neighborhood, add TreeDrop to the guest list once more. Then the crew walks it out the door, stand and all, and sees to recycling or disposal, with green waste programs used where they take trees. Your only job is the undecorating.
Yes. Talega and Forster Ranch use the 92673 ZIP, and both are on our route, as is the rest of town in 92672 and 92673. Order online, choose your tree and date, and add any gate or parking details at checkout so the crew heads straight to your door. Just up the coast, we also cover Dana Point.
Can I get a tree taller than 8 ft for a two story family room?
Yes. Anything 9 ft or taller is a special order, priced by custom quote and subject to availability. We'll also want a sense of the access, like the width of your front door and any tight turns, before confirming. Measure floor to ceiling where the tree will go and share that number with your request. Tax is extra.
My house is up a long driveway in Forster Ranch. Is that a problem?
No. The crew carries the tree from wherever the truck can stop, so a long or steep driveway just means a longer walk. Mention it at checkout, with any steps, so the crew knows what's coming. Truly unusual access can carry an extra charge, and it's always confirmed with you before checkout.
Will Santa's Village by the Sea affect a downtown delivery?
It can, on that one evening. The event usually lands on the first Saturday of December, Avenida Del Mar closes to traffic, and the city notes that downtown parking is limited. If you live nearby, choose an earlier date so the tree is in before the street closes.
