On a lantern street off Pacific Coast Highway or behind the guard gate at Niguel Shores, your tree comes inside, goes up in its stand and heads out again in January.
Some Dana Point addresses read like a box of holiday lights: the Street of the Blue Lantern, the Street of the Ruby Lantern, the Street of the Golden Lantern, names that go back to the mid 1920s. Christmas tree delivery in Dana Point covers those lantern streets and plenty more, from guard gated Niguel Shores and The Strand above Strands Beach to Monarch Beach and the older blocks of Capistrano Beach.
Every order includes the same five things: the tree, a loaned stand, delivery, setup inside your home and pickup in January. Your part of the order is three choices: the fir, the size and the day. Noble and Fraser cost the same, with $465 buying a 6 ft tree and $589 an 8 ft. The crew, usually a pair, handles the carrying, the straightening and the needle cleanup, and you handle the ornaments. Next door, we also deliver in San Clemente and Laguna Niguel.

Dana Point Christmas tree delivery: gates, parking and sizing
Two gate passes, not one
Niguel Shores, The Strand and the gated corners of Monarch Beach all need a heads up at the entry. Give the gate our name twice: once for delivery day and once for the January pickup. Put the gate's instructions in your checkout notes too. At Niguel Shores, the crew will be checking in at the gatehouse on Mariner Drive.
Parking and the walk to your door
Around the Lantern District and the harbor, the nearest legal spot can be a few doors down. If your building has a guest space or a driveway the crew can use, say so in your checkout notes, and mention how many steps lead to your door. Then clear the walkway, the landing and the hall so the tree can come straight through.
Single story homes and ceiling heights
Niguel Shores started building in the early 1970s, and plenty of its homes are single story, so the carry is usually short. Height is the real question. Under a flat ceiling of 8 ft, the 6 ft size fits with room for a topper. Ten feet of clearance calls for the 8 ft tree, and nine works for both sizes. For a vaulted living room, ask about a tree 9 ft or taller.
The local season
From the Turkey Trot to the Boat Parade of Lights
The holidays start early in the harbor. The 49th Dana Point Turkey Trot runs there on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, and about two weeks later the 51st Boat Parade of Lights takes over the water on December 11, 12 and 13, this year with a Harboritaville theme and plenty of lit up palm trees on deck.
The stretch between the two is a good time to bring your tree home: Thanksgiving is behind you and the parade is still ahead. Keep the stand topped up once it's inside, since a fresh cut tree drinks the most water in its first few days.

January
When January pickup comes around
Strip the tree completely before the scheduled January pickup window, hooks and tinsel included, and leave it in its stand. Slide out the tree skirt as well, so the crew can lift the tree and stand together. If you live behind a gate, renew the pass for pickup day the same way you did in December. After that it's on us: the crew carries both out, and the tree is either recycled as green waste, where that's accepted, or disposed of.
Yes. Capistrano Beach is part of the city, and its 92624 addresses are on our route along with everything in 92629. Order online and note any steps, parking quirks or a shared driveway at checkout, and the crew will plan the route to your door from there.
I'm in an upstairs condo near the harbor. Is there an extra charge?
It depends on the access. Tell us your floor, the number of steps and anything tricky, like a tight turn or a long walk from parking. If there's an extra charge for unusual access, you'll hear about it before checkout, not on delivery day. The crew, typically two people, handles the carry up and the setup inside.
Do you deliver to homes in Monarch Beach?
Yes. It's on our route, from guard gated Emerald Ridge to Monarch Bay Villas and the Monarch Hills condos. Order online, choose a size and date, and use the checkout notes to tell us about your entry, parking and any stairs up to the front door.
If my tree arrives right after Thanksgiving, will it still look good for the Boat Parade?
Yes, if you look after it. The parade runs December 11 to 13, 2026, about two weeks after Thanksgiving. Check the water every day, top it up whenever it drops, and keep the tree away from heaters and fireplaces. A fresh cut tree cared for that way should still look full when the boats go by.
