Irvine was planned as a city of villages, each with its own parks and its own look, from the lakes of Woodbridge to the avocado orchards beside Orchard Hills. That planning shapes Christmas tree delivery in Irvine. Between the truck and your living room there might be an HOA gate, a guest parking rule or a footpath across a greenbelt, and it helps to know which before the crew arrives.
Start by choosing between Noble Fir and Fraser Fir, $465 for the 6 ft size or $589 for the 8 ft, then a delivery date when you order online. On the day, a crew of usually two people brings the fresh Christmas tree through your door, sets it in a loaned stand, gets it standing straight and clears away stray needles. Lights and ornaments are your part. Come January, the crew returns to haul the bare tree and the stand away.
Neighborhoods
Irvine villages on our route
Woodbridge
Built in the 1970s and 1980s around two man made lakes, with Yale Loop circling the village. If guest parking is a walk from your door, note it.
Northwood
Eucalyptus windrows from its farming days still line the main roads and wrap whole neighborhoods. A lit house number helps under the big trees.
Turtle Rock and Turtle Ridge
Turtle Rock was the Irvine Ranch's first hillside village; Turtle Ridge sits on some of the city's highest ground above it. Note steps or a steep drive.
Shady Canyon
Two gated entries, rolled curbs and low outdoor lighting give this canyon village a rural feel. Gate details in your notes save time on the day.
Quail Hill
South of the 405 between Jeffrey Road and Sand Canyon Avenue, ringed by protected open space. The HOA is mandatory, so pass along any guest parking rules.
Orchard Hills
The city's northern foothill village, where many homes sit beside working avocado orchards. It mixes houses, townhomes and apartments, so include your unit and floor.
Portola Springs
Framed by Lomas Ridge near the 241 and 133 toll roads, with some streets hilly and some flat. Tell us if your door sits above the street.
Great Park Neighborhoods
Newer homes around the Orange County Great Park, where building started in 2013. Open plans can mean taller ceilings, so measure before choosing a size.
Christmas tree delivery in Irvine: gates, greenbelts and great rooms
HOA rules and parking
Many homes here belong to an HOA, and some associations set rules about where trucks and guests can park. Check yours before delivery day and pass along anything useful in your order notes, like a guest spot or a street to avoid. That way the crew spends its time on your tree instead of hunting for a place to stop.
Greenbelts and shared walkways
Some homes open onto a greenbelt, courtyard or shared walkway instead of the street. If yours does, tell us the closest curb or guest spot and which path leads to your door. From that spot, the crew shoulders the tree in, sets it up in your living room and leaves the path as clean as they found it.
Choosing the spot and the size
Choose the spot first, then size the tree to it. Keep it a few feet from heat vents and the fireplace, and measure the ceiling right there. Our 6 ft tree is made for 8 ft ceilings and the 8 ft tree for 10 ft ceilings, while 9 ft works with either. Both leave roughly 12 inches of headroom for the stand and your topper.
The local season
Local holiday traditions and when to get your tree
Thanksgiving weekend usually starts the nightly show on the 75 ft tree in Irvine Spectrum Center's Giant Wheel Court, every 30 minutes from 5 pm, while the outdoor ice rink runs into January. A week later the city holds Illuminate Irvine at the Great Park's Palm Court Arts Complex, lighting the Holiday Tree and switching on the Holidayz at the Park light display. The city lists it for Saturday, December 5.
Want your own tree glowing before the city's? Choose a delivery date the week of Thanksgiving or the weekend after, and you'll have time to decorate before the Great Park evening.

January
January Christmas tree pickup in Irvine
When the January pickup window comes around, the crew comes back to collect the bare tree and our stand, then sends the tree off for disposal or to a green waste recycler that takes it. The city's hauler, Waste Management, usually collects trees at the curb for a few weeks after Christmas too, but with us the tree never leaves the house on your shoulder. Strip off every light and ornament first, and read how January pickup works.
Yes. We deliver across 92602, 92603, 92604, 92606, 92612, 92614, 92617, 92618 and 92620, from Northwood and Woodbridge to Portola Springs and the Great Park Neighborhoods. Pick your tree and date online, then add gate, parking or greenbelt notes so the crew knows the way to your door.
We live behind a guard gate. What should we do?
Get TreeDrop on the gate's guest list twice, once for delivery and once before the January pickup window. List the gate code, guard instructions and the entrance to use in your order notes. Shady Canyon, for example, has two gated entries, so naming the closer one saves the crew a loop.
What size tree fits a two story great room?
Usually a special order tree of 9 ft or more. Our 8 ft tree is sized for a 10 ft ceiling, so a two story room can handle something taller. Those trees get a custom quote, depend on availability and need a look at access, so measure the spot and ask when you order.
Do you deliver next door in Lake Forest?
Yes. Lake Forest is on our route, even without a page of its own yet. Ordering works the same way there: pick the fir you like at the same two prices, $465 or $589 by height, plus tax, and a date that suits you. Delivery, setup, a loaned stand and the January pickup all come with it.
