From the alleys of Balboa Island to the gates of Newport Coast, we carry a real Christmas tree inside, set it straight in a sturdy stand and come back for it in January.
Newport Beach has whole neighborhoods on harbor islands, and a tree headed to Balboa Island, Lido Isle or Collins Island usually crosses a small bridge before it reaches anyone's living room. That's the first thing to know about Christmas tree delivery in Newport Beach. Island lots are small, the streets and alleys are narrow, and up in Big Canyon or Newport Coast there's often a gate to clear first.
The rest is simple. Choose a Noble Fir or Fraser Fir, 6 ft for $465 or 8 ft for $589, and pick your delivery date online. A crew of typically two people carries the tree in, sets it in a loaned stand, straightens it, checks it and cleans up the needles from setup. You handle the lights and ornaments. In January the crew comes back for the undecorated tree and the stand, so nothing ends up on your curb. Here's more on how in home setup works.
Neighborhoods
From the harbor islands to the gated hills
Balboa Island
Lots run about 30 by 85 feet on a grid of narrow streets and alleys. Tell us if the alley side is the easier way in.
Lido Isle
About 800 homes, most in Mediterranean Revival style, on streets named for places like Genoa, Nice and Barcelona. Around 250 of them sit right on the water.
Newport Heights
On the bluff above Mariners Mile, bounded roughly by Dover Drive, 16th Street and Newport Boulevard, with views down over the harbor.
Dover Shores
About 310 homes on curving streets along the bluffs and shoreline of Upper Newport Bay, with plenty of single level mid century houses and remodeled ranches.
Big Canyon
A gated golf course community across the street from Newport Center, opened in the early 1970s, with 214 acres of parks and fairways.
Newport Coast
The 92657 side of the city, where neighborhoods such as Crystal Cove sit behind gates. The Crystal Cove entry is up Crystal Heights Drive from Coast Highway.
What Christmas tree delivery in Newport Beach looks like
Island streets, alleys and a short walk
On Balboa Island and Lido Isle, the truck stops wherever it legally can and the crew carries the tree the rest of the way. If your garage opens onto the alley and that's the quicker route, say so in your checkout notes. Clear a path from the door to the spot where the tree will stand, and move rugs or anything fragile out of the way.
Gates in Big Canyon and Newport Coast
A gated street needs a little help from you. Put TreeDrop on your guest list for the delivery date, then do it again before the January pickup window. If your entry uses a call box or a code, add those details to your checkout notes, along with anything the guard usually asks visitors for.
Ceilings in cottages, bluff homes and great rooms
Measure from the floor to the ceiling right where the tree will go. With an 8 ft ceiling, the 6 ft tree at $465 leaves room for the stand and a topper. A 10 ft ceiling suits the 8 ft tree at $589, and 9 ft can take either one. If you have a two story room facing the bay, ask about a special order for 9 ft and up.
The local season
Timing your tree around the Christmas Boat Parade
The Christmas Boat Parade grew out of a Christmas tree. In 1946, city employees decorated a barge with a lighted tree and its passengers sang carols along the shore, building on a lighted parade tradition on the bay that goes back to 1908. The 118th parade runs December 16 to 20, 2026, leaving around 6:30 pm from the tip of Lido Isle, while waterfront homes compete in the Ring of Lights.
If you're hosting on a parade night, schedule your tree for the first week of December. It gets a few days to settle, you get a weekend to decorate, and the house is ready well before the harbor fills with boats.

January
January pickup, no saw required
Newport Beach does run its own tree program. In recent seasons the city's contractor, CR&R, has sent a separate truck for trees set beside the carts from December 26 to mid January, and it asks for trees 6 ft or shorter, so an 8 ft tree would need cutting. With TreeDrop, the crew carries the whole undecorated tree out during the scheduled January pickup window, takes back the stand and handles green waste recycling where it's accepted.
Do you deliver to Collins Island and Little Balboa Island?
Yes, both are on our route. Little Balboa Island connects to Balboa Island by a two lane bridge, and Collins Island by a one lane bridge, so the crew may park nearby and walk the tree across. Note your street and any steps at checkout, and keep the path from the street to your door clear.
I'm entering the Ring of Lights. Can the tree go in the window facing the harbor?
Yes. Pick the window and the crew sets the tree in its stand right there, straightened and steady. Leave room behind it to reach an outlet, and keep it clear of heaters and fireplaces. The lights and decorating are yours, since we don't sell or hang lights, but the tree will be ready for them.
Is Newport Coast part of your Newport Beach route?
Yes. Newport Coast and its 92657 addresses are on our route, including gated neighborhoods like Crystal Cove. Order online with your street address, pick a size and a date, and use the checkout notes for anything the crew should know at your entry, like a gate code.
Is right after Thanksgiving too early for a fresh tree?
No. Thanksgiving falls on November 26 this year, and a fresh cut tree set up in the days after it can look good through Christmas if you top up the stand with water every day and keep it away from heat. You'll also have it decorated well before the boat parade starts on December 16.
