Ladera Ranch and nearby communities on our route

In 2020, Ladera Ranch retired the 70 ft Star Pine that had been its community Christmas tree at Town Green and named a Coast Live Oak at the next corner, the Heart of Ladera, as the new holiday tree. Your tree at home can be a lot simpler. TreeDrop offers Christmas tree delivery in Ladera Ranch and the Rancho Mission Viejo villages next door, bringing a fresh Noble Fir or Fraser Fir, carrying it in, setting it in a sturdy stand and sweeping up the needles before the crew leaves.

Prices go by height: $465 buys the 6 ft tree, $589 buys the 8 ft, and tax comes on top. Either size comes with the stand on loan, the setup and a January pickup. You bring the lights, the ornaments and the debate over who places the star. Compare Noble Fir and Fraser Fir, then pick your delivery date.

Neighborhoods

Ladera villages and the Ranch next door

  • Covenant Hills

The one gated village in Ladera, closed to the general public. Plan on a guest list entry for each of our two visits.

  • Oak Knoll Village

Its clubhouse on O'Neill Drive opened in March 2000, a year after construction began, so these are some of Ladera's earliest streets.

  • Avendale Village

The Avendale Village Clubhouse at 1 Daisy Drive has hosted Santa's mailbox for letters in past Decembers, a fun stop with kids.

  • Terramor

One of Ladera's last two villages, along with Covenant Hills, so its homes are among the newest in the community.

  • Bridgepark, Flintridge, Township, Wycliffe and Echo Ridge

The rest of Ladera's villages have no gate to clear. Just note anything unusual at checkout, like a long walk from the curb.

  • Sendero

Rancho Mission Viejo's first village, where homeowners arrived in 2013. One resident remembers holidays with neighbors on Candy Cane Lane.

  • Esencia, Rienda and Gavilán Ridge

Esencia opened in 2015 and Rienda in 2022, and Gavilán Ridge is the Ranch's 55+ village. If your street sits behind a gate, the guest list applies.

Delivery day

Christmas tree delivery in Ladera Ranch and on the Ranch

If your Ranch neighborhood has a gate

Rancho Mission Viejo says some of its neighborhoods can include gates, so check yours before delivery day. If there is one, list TreeDrop as a guest for the delivery date you pick and once more for the January pickup window. In your checkout notes, say which entrance you use, who will be home and the best number to reach them.

Brand new streets in Rienda

Rienda homes went on sale in 2022, and the village is planned for more than 1,800 homes at full buildout, so new streets keep opening. If yours is recent, add a cross street or a landmark in your checkout notes. It helps the crew find the right door on the first try, even when the street is newer than the maps.

Measure before you pick a size

Pick the spot first, then run a tape measure from the floor straight up to the ceiling. An 8 ft ceiling is right for our 6 ft tree, the 8 ft tree wants roughly 10 ft, and a 9 ft room can take either one. Two story family rooms and vaulted ceilings can special order something taller, quoted once we know the tree is available and can make it inside.

The local season

Winter Fest, the Holiday Market and your tree

LARMAC has Winter Fest set for Saturday, December 5, 2026, 2 to 5 pm, at Town Green on Sienna Parkway, with music, crafts and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. At 5 pm Santa lights the park's holiday display. Over on the Ranch, RanchLife usually hosts its Holiday Market in Lights each December.

If you want your own tree up and decorated by Winter Fest night, choose a delivery date ahead of it. Once it's standing, the watering is yours: look at the stand daily, and keep the tree a good distance from heater vents and the fireplace.

January

Christmas tree pickup for Ladera and the Ranch

The crew comes back during the scheduled January pickup window, carries out the bare tree and takes back the stand. Before then, unhook every light and ornament and pick off the tinsel. Both communities are unincorporated, and under county rules their haulers take Christmas trees from the curb on the first two regular trash days after Christmas: Waste Management in Ladera, CR&R on the Ranch. With TreeDrop you can skip that deadline and the trip to the curb.

How pickup works

Before we come back

  • All lights, ornaments and hooks off
  • Tinsel, garland and tree skirt off
  • Gate or guest list updated for pickup day

Questions

Ladera Ranch Christmas tree delivery questions

Do you deliver in Rancho Mission Viejo, or only Ladera Ranch?

Both. Sendero, Esencia, Rienda and Gavilán Ridge are on the same route as Ladera, with the same prices: $465 for the 6 ft size and $589 for the 8 ft, tax extra. If your Ranch neighborhood is gated, the crew will need a guest list entry on delivery day and another one in January.

Will the Winter Fest road closure affect my delivery?

Only if you live along Mercantile Way between Sienna Parkway and First Street and pick Saturday, December 5. LARMAC says that stretch closes from 6 am to 7 pm for Winter Fest. Choose a different date, or use your checkout notes to tell us the best way to reach your door that day.

Is Covenant Hills the only gated village?

In Ladera, yes. Covenant Hills is gated and closed to the general public, so the crew has to be on your list for delivery and again before January pickup. The other villages have open streets, though a note about stairs, a long walk or a shared driveway always helps.

Do you deliver to neighbors in San Juan Capistrano and Mission Viejo?

Yes. Both are on our route and have pages of their own, with local notes on places like the Los Rios Historic District in San Juan Capistrano. It's the same two varieties, the same two standard sizes and the same January pickup included with every order.

A real tree for your Ladera Ranch home, delivered and set up.

Two trees, two sizes, one price that covers delivery, setup and January pickup. Pick your date and we take it from there.
